Boots E45 viscous cream delivered in one shot by IDC

Boots
E45 Dispenser

Brief: To design a replacement for their existing E45 packaging with the objective of eliminating cross contamination and maintaining the traditional bottle and cap container.

Process: IDC produced concepts for dispensing the highly viscous E45 cream through a one shot pump action. The assembly included a double extruded blow moulding and injection moulded pump components.

Achievement: IDC designed and prototyped a one shot delivery system, eliminating cross contamination, and meeting Boot’s brief and cost objectives.

IDC Involvement: Industrial design and engineering concept work; foam models to assess functional and visual impact of the product; engineering design; functional prototypes for test and market review, liaison with a European high volume container manufacture.
