Sustainable design has the power to change the way we live, work and do business. As product designers, we see it as our job to help lead the way. We already have a lot of experience in this area, having designed a number of environmentally focussed products, including projects in renewable energy.

IDC is undertaking a number of initiatives in the field of sustainable design. One of which is the Life Cycle Analysis (LCA) Calculator: a free, easy-to-use online tool to estimate the carbon footprint and embodied energy of any product.
